Public Consultation: Youth Policy for the Northern Province
The Ministry of Education, Cultural Affairs and youth Affairs wishes to call for recommendation by interested parties of public to formulate a comprehensive youth policy for the Northern Province.
Recommendations are invited on the following strategic areas:
- Education and Skills development including Vocational Training
- Employment and Entrepreneurship
- Health and Wellbeing (including Reproductive Health Education)
- Environment Protection
- Peace and Reconciliation
- Leisure – Sports, Arts and Values – including Religion and Region
A set of draft recommendations were formulated at a multi-stakeholder consultation held on 19 September 2016 in Jaffna, hosted by the Ministry and supported by the UN Population Fund (UNFPA).
Further recommendations must be submitted by email youthmoenp@gmail.com or by post to the Secretary, Ministry of Education, Northern Province Chemmany Road, Nallur, Jaffna with subject line - 'Recommendations for Youth Policy' clearly stated.
